"Motor City," from ABC Studios, is a gothic family soap inspired by "Hamlet" that centers on Billy (Warren Christie), a young Harvard philosophy professor forced to return to Detroit to take over the family's auto company and reconnect with his ex-girlfriend, Meg (Piper Perabo). Chestnut ("The Game Plan") will play Meg's current boyfriend. He is repped by CAA and Kritzer Levine Wilkins.

"Samurai," from ABC Studios and Alloy Entertainment, centers on a 19-year-old Japanese girl named Heaven (Jamie Chung) who sets out to take down her adopted father's evil empire. Keibler will play Heaven's rival and ex-fiancee of her love interest, Jake (Brendan Fehr). "Samurai Girl," a six-hour "special event," airs in September.

Keibler ("What About Brian") is repped by ICM and attorney Brad Small.

"Better," from ABC Studios, centers on Keith (Damon Wayans), a recovering alcoholic trying to be a good husband and father. Lynch is playing Linda, Keith's Alcoholics Anonymous sponsor. Perkins is playing Claire, an AA member who has a contentious relationship with Keith.

Lynch ("Julie & Julia") is repped by Domain. Perkins (TNT's "Truth in Advertising") is repped by Innovative and Trademark Talent.

"Virtuality," from UMS, is set aboard Earth's first starship, which is equipped with advanced virtual reality modules. Bryant is set as Alice Thibadeau, Lee is playing Kenji Yamaguchi, Guillory will portray Rika Goddard, Metwally is set as Dr. Eyal Meyer, and Coster was cast as Jimmy Johnson.

Bryant ("Welcome Home Roscoe Jenkins") is repped by CAA and Untitled. Lee ("Blade: The Series") is repped by Stone Manners and attorney Geoffry Oblath.

The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2 Synopsis
Written by Warner Bros Pictures
Thursday, 29 May 2008
With unraveled embroidery and fraying hems, the Pants are back for another glorious summer that four now college-aged friends will never forget in The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2.

Lena (Alexis Bledl--"Gilmore Girls") immerses herself in her painting and an intoxicating summer fling, fearing that the moment she forgets about Kostos will be the moment she sees him again. Carmen (America Ferrara--"Ugly Betty") falls under the spell of a sophisticated college friend for whom a theatrical role means everything and the heritage of the Pants means nothing. Bridget (Blake Lively--"Gossip Girl") joins a dig for an ancient city on the coast of Turkey and discovers that her archaeology professor is available in every way except one. And Tibby (Amber Tamblyn--"Joan of Arcadia") leaves behind someone she loves, wrongly believing he will stay where she has left him.

Based on Ann Brashare's novel Forever in Blue.

In the Park

by Cecile Richards

Late yesterday afternoon, the last stragglers from the New York City
Marathon were wandering through Central Park.  There were hundreds of
runners, in their silver warming wraps, wobbling toward Central Park
West or to the subway, relieved to be finished.  It was a beautiful
fall day and an inspiring sight, and as I finished up my meager run
around the park, a young woman came running along beside me, looking
for a path across the chaos.  She was meeting up with her aunt, who
was just finishing the marathon, and she wanted to make sure and get
her photo crossing the finish line.  As we maneuvered around the
runners, she told me, "She is 80 years old, and this is her 30th
marathon.  She started when she was 57."  She went on to say, "You'd
never know from looking at her she was 80 – I wish I had her figure!"

Reviewers from The Drums Inside Your Chest event said....

"If this is to be the quality of performance and writing that Amber Tamblyn is serious about presenting regularly in her "The Best Contemporary American Poets Series", then you can bet that I am going to lie, cheat, or steal my way into tickets for every show. At $15 last night's show was a steal, like having your local connection surprise you with a "Buy One Get One Free" on an eighth of Maui Wowie. If you live in the LA area, be on the lookout for the next show and do yourself and favor and go."

-Nathan Henderson James Online for LA WEEKLY

"A pretty incredible evening, considering it was sold on the word "poetry", which usually makes the general public cringe, myself included.  But the sold out venue of more than 500 people, shockingly talented performers and free quality booze from Makers Mark to Svedka, really redefined this type of event as not poetry, but revolutionizing the spoken word platform.  Did I mention America Ferrera from Ugly Betty sat right in front of me and her laugh is absolutely infectious? …I look forward to the next one, whole heartedly."

-Alex Simon, Venice Magazine, September issue

"I was really shocked at what Amber Tamblyn- who I used to look at as a seemingly semi interesting celebrity- put together for this ground breaking event. Not anymore.  It really was Broadway theatre for Los Angeles, just as she boasted in her myspace blog (
Myspace.com/ambertamblyn). She also managed to tie in a very worthy charity, The American Heart Association, and pump her guests full of free POM energy tea and vitamin water.  All for the heart.  Or, as she would call it, the drums inside your chest.  And she introduced me to the likes of Mindy Nettifee, Derrick Brown, and Beau Sia.  When you see tickets go on sale for the second installment of The Best Contemporary American Poets Series in April next year, don't hesitate. Click the "buy tickets" button and press send.

"….2 words:  Volume 2.  We are anxiously awaiting more saucy drinks, performers and bra throwing."

"It's not a matter of if, but when the next show happens, ignore the word POETRY which so blatantly disgusts you, I know,  and just fucking go.  I took the  free tickets Amber Tamblyn sent me, and brought my friends, thinking it would be a nice chance to laugh at another talented actress trying to prove her talentless other personal outlets that none of us really care to see, as so many young long lashed Hollywood types do these days.  But instead, I listened to her perform pieces about this exact topic- being made to feel cheapened by the likes of reviewers like me,  relationships in the past that reflected the same sentiment.   My favorite line from one of her poems was, "I'm not ashamed of who you've made, my aura radiates a big, beautiful white chalk outline.  I'm on a hunger strike in protest of celebrity anorexia"…….the bombarding of free stuff at the VIP after party was really the cherry of the night.  Tons of whisky, Vodka and 2 girls (claiming to be Tamblyn's best friends)  serving it with smiles…."

-UCLA CAMPUS CIRCUIT MAGAZINE ONLINE/Bruin Magazine, August 6th, 2007

"The poetry was outstanding.  I have not seen a show in Los Angeles like this before.  And even though the grassroots marketing was limited and I'm sure costly, it clearly paid off in the end.  Classy liquor for the guests, and Budweiser for my boys.  As far as poetry goes, this damn night took not only the cake, but the left over batter, too."

-Daily Trojan, USC College Dan Michaels

"Immature, silly, ridiculous, raw, foul, hilarious, moving, tear jerking, strange, intoxicating, smooth, dark, did I mention really fucking hilarious?  I don't really know if anything like this has ever been done on such a big level in our dear old Los Angeles before, But I can't fucking WAIT for the next one. "
