Simon & Schuster has released my first book of poems Free Stallion in paperback! If you don't have it, now is a good time to pick it up for cheap. These poems were written between the ages of 12 and 23, roughly. The book was my debut collection and something I'm really proud of. It's interesting to go back and read some of these poems- the voice sounds so different from what I'm writing these days- but that's one of the great things about publishing your work. You have a beautiful record of your growth. I cherish the poems in Free Stallion and their youthful, cynical power. I hope you enjoy them too.
